Now coming to the top 25, here's a list of my personal favourites of Kishore Kumar. Please note that these are not necassarily in an order. Mere Mehboob Qayamat Hogi Lyrics: Mere mehabooba qayamata hogi / Aaja rusavaa teri galiyon main mohabbata hogi / Naama nikelegaa tera hi laaba se / Jaana jab ise, dil-e-naakaam se ruksata hogi. This was his second hit film in which all songs were written by him. 17) Chand si mehbooba hogi meri kab - Himalay Ki Godmein 1965 kalyanji Anandji. 16) Humme kya jo harsu ujale huye hain Namaste Ji 1965 G S Kohli. Kishore Kumar not only sings, he talks through his songs. You can see this quality in the song "Zindagi ka safar.".He captures each moment in his songs in a very charming manner. 15) Mere mehboob qayamat hogi Mr X in Bombay 1964 LP. Rafi and Mukesh are good, but Kishore Kumar is in a different league altogether. There is pathos in his voice and in the way he sings.Just listen to the song "Koi hota jisko apna.", and you'll know what I mean by "dard". Personally I would say, if there is one thing that Kishore Kumar had and other greats like Rafi and Mukesh did not, was "dard "(in hindi). But, the biggest reason according to me is something else. I'm amazed and at the same time baffled, when I think " Why is Kishore Kumar considered to be one of the best(if not the best) singers of all times? " or "What made Kishore Kumar so successful?".Is it because he has such a beauftiful voice? Is it because he lend his voice to the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Rajesh Khanna? Is it because the songs written at that time had just amazing lyrics? Perhaps all the above reasons.
